The Canadian River Ranch is a magnificent northeastern New Mexico ranch. 33,654 deeded acres along with 50% of the mineral rights. There are 19 wells and 20 stock tanks along with a 50 acre foot dam. The Canadian River meanders along a 7 mile stretch of the ranch. Elevations range from 3,900′ to 4,600′. The terrain ranges from river bottom with cottonwood forests and a saccatone plain to open rolling grass pastures to the east. The western side of the ranch is mesa country with juniper and piñon trees along the escarpment. Numerous creeks and springs are throughout the ranch as well as some sub-irrigated range areas. The headquarters consists of an owners home and 3 others home for the help. A set of pipe pens, 20 ton scales, hydraulic chute, shop and roping arena is also at the headquarters. There are also 2 other sets of working pens located on the ranch. The ranch is separated into 9 pastures and 3 traps. Excellent hunting–Mule Deer, Whitetail Deer, Barbary sheep, Wild Pig, Antelope, Quail, Dove and Ducks are on the ranch.
